Staging on Toll House
Staging ¤ The Beach
This newly renovated vacant home in Annandale boasted large windows in the living room and an inviting fireplace in the spacious family room. Placing an elegant loveseat and sofa table perpendicular to the large front windows anchored the conversation area and highlighted the view of the outdoors while the warmth of the natural light streamed into the room. In the family room, a loveseat and sofa table were placed perpendicular to the brick fireplace. Tall leather slipper chairs completed the inviting coversation area; their height and scale draws attention to the brick fireplace wall, the focal point of the room.

ReDesign in Falls Church - Before & After
Creating A WOW Factor
This charming home in Falls Church, VA had nice furnishings and art but lacked the "Wow!" factor. In each main floor room the challenge was to use the fireplace as a focal point to create an inviting conversation area and to bring both the brilliance of natural light, and soft lamplight, in to illuminate the darker corners of the rooms. In the living room we placed the white leather sofa across from the fireplace, and shopping the house, art and a mirror were used to make a stunning collage opposite the front window reflecting the brightness of the outdoors and warming up the dim corner space. Similarly, the porch fireplace became the focal point as we brought the whicker loveseat up closer and used the matching chairs to make a welcoming U-shape space for everyone to enjoy.
